Such a month!

August summary and a new page on the blog: OUTFITS!

I’m not posting every week here, but always taking care of the blog – this is the post till Oct 6th :)  In the meantime, I created another new page this montth! ACCESSORIES!

In August I painted and framed pictures, posted everyday quotes on facebook and twitter, kept a diary of what I learned during Aug, got my DNA tested by NatGeo (fascinating!), cooked a bit and posted every week on Stylishly Beautiful, the new site I’m posting on.

Just one of the quotes of the month, to remember a very important thing

Just one of the quotes of the month, to remember a very important thing

Did you know that men use “Uh” as a conversation gap filler, while women use “um“? This information, that may be superfluous, is here. I found the explanation interesting!

So that was it! To a new month full of smiles for all of us!

Hope you liked this attempt to show some items – I’ll love your sweet comments, thanks!

    • Thank you so much for your words, do believe me, they mean a lot to me! I was a bit down yesterday, so your words come on the right time to cheer me up! I hope our month is successful to both of us and everybody – I will take your wish as a good luck omen! Thank you again for that!

    • Thank you so much for your lovely comment! Hahaha, I said, it could be superfluous information, but I like it… I never noticed the difference, but thinking about me… yes, I use more “um” :) Hope you have a nice week ahead!

  1. You’re always up to lots of interesting stuff :) And you look adorable :) . Sorry for being a bad blog buddy, I have been busy as well since we are moving to another city. Now I’ll go to see your other site :) Have a good day :) x

    • Thank you for your sweet comment, as always! Please, don’t worry, I totally understand that you are busy! I keep on repeating what a wise blogger told me once – “Life is what happens when we are out of the web!” Isn’t it true? Yes! We blog a bit, we read, but life is happening around us! So I hope you are well and having fun going to another city and we keep in touch for sure! I love your posts! Hope you have a beautiful week!

    • Thank you so much for your comment! I do love those shoes, it took me such an effort to get them! I loved them when I saw in the shop, and didn’t buy. A day later I was looking for the shop’s telephone (it was in another city and they didn’t have online service). Then I arranged for them to send them to me! I never regretted it, they are nice and comfortable! Thank you so much for your lovely comment! Hope you have a nice week!

    • Hi, dear Sam, thank you so much for your sweet comment, you are always sweet! Yes, you are so right… August flew. It’s unbelievable! It was productive, I must say, but it did flow :) It’s so good to see you on facebook! I hope you have a great week!

    • Hi, dear Monica! Thank you for your sweet words! I looove Indian skirts, and I even bought some lehengas (wedding skirts), so much I love Indian fashion! So when someone wants to see me happy and comfortable, that is when I wear Indian items :) Hope you have a beautiful week!

  2. hey Denise! long time no talk (I mean, thank you for visiting my blog but I myself have been kind of missing from the blogging world, hehe). I can see your August included some nice fashion. all those vivid prints on the skirts and dresses, your special shoe collection, jewellery from all over the world – they’re all lovely! and now I’m curious about your new adventures. I wonder if you’re going to new places again? 😉 okay, I bet you are! can’t wait to read/see all about it! but for the time being take care and enjoy your September!

Maikeni blogi – part of me

    • Oh, dear Maiken, you are always so lovely and sweet! Thank you so much for your sweet, so sweet comment! I love jewellery, it doesnt’t have to be diamonds, but things that are typical in some places, like Gdansk and Prague. Going to Gdansk and coming back without amber would be a “sin” for me! I know we are both not posting very often, but for the time being I think it’s OK, and we do have phases :) Sometimes we post more, sometimes not, because of our everyday tasks, and it’s fine! I decided for now, to have recaps of my months, but as soon as I start my new adventures – yes, new and old places, you are so right! – I think I will post again every week, or every other week. Probably in October :) I am posting regularly on Stylishly Beautiful, so I feel goo about that :) Just post when you feel like and have time, and I will be very happy to see you again! Hope you have a beautiful week!

  3. Congrats on creating the new page! It’s lovely to see all your outfits together in one place.
I really loved all of your outfit this month. They’re so you! And those Stefanel shoes are gorgeous! And you’re absolutely beautiful in all your pictures! So good to have you with us on the Stylishly Beautiful Team! Go, go SB! 😀 hehe

    • Hi, dear M!!!! Thank you a lot for your always sweet and lovely comments! You are right, the outfits are so me – Indian boho quirky :) And I love being part of SB, it really makes my day! So I thank you for the invitation! It was kind of a lot of work, you know how it is, but yes, I am glad about the pages – the Vegetabible one is also ready! Ooof, I can’t say I didn’t do anything – you know how it is, what seems small to other people, is huge to me – so I thank you even more for your support! Filaaakia!

    • Thank you, dear Hati She is always well cared and beautiful, so I thank you so much for that! I can’t see the similarity, but maybe because I never thought of that! Thank you so much for your sweet comment, you are fabulous!

Viele liebe Gruesse!

    • Hi, Lulu, thank you so much for your lovely comment! Actually August brought the Stylishly Beautiful joy and my paintings – a cheerful source of joy too! – but it was calmer than the first semester of the year! But then maybe it’s good to have such balance :) I hope you have a great weekend!

    • Thank you for the sweet words! Actually, it was a month of some accomplishment, but not as exciting as the first part of the year – but alas, the year is then well balanced! I love those shoes, indeed! They are nice and really comfortable! Hope you have a great Sunday!

    • Muito obrigada, Lilly! Os brincos foram um presente – a parte azul – e eu pedi a uma amiga que trabalha com jóias para colocar as pérolas :) Obrigada pelo elogio e uma semana maravilhosa para você!!!

    • Thank you very much for your lovely comment! And it made me smile again – I think smiling doesn’t cost a thing… I sometimes try-tried to have different pictures, because I thought people would find it boring… but now that you wrote me this comment, I’ll go on doing just the way I am (probably Too smiley, but alas…!) :) Thank you sooo much for that!

    • Hi, Laila, thank you fr the sweet comment! Yes, isn’t it amazing? NatGeo tests people’s DNA and tells about ancestors – like 80,000 years ago till today! It was really amazing! I do recommend the experience! Hope you have a great week!

  5. Hi Denise! It’s very nice and great reading your posts (as always). I just found out about NatGeo project thanks to you. The beautiful and thoughtful quotes you share are fullfilling, thanks again :)
btw, love your indian skirt, and love all the red accents in your outfits. Red, my favorite color :) !
    Have a wonderful Thursday!

    • Such a beautiful comment, thank you so much! So we have something in common – I believe many things, but this drew my attention – red is our favorite color! I love that Indian skirt and I have worn it many times – it’s so comfortable and outstanding! I totally recommend the NatGeo experience – it’s really very interesting! Hope you too have a beautiful Thursday and we see each other on facebook :)

    • Hello, thank you for the sweet compliments and comment! I love those Stefanel shoes, indeed! They took me so much work to get them… once I was in a city and saw them… and thought “no, I have many shoes… don’t need them…” :) But “need” and “want” played on my mind :) Then I went back to the city I lived in and find a way to get the shop’s telephone number. Called them and asked if I could pay online and if they would send me. They didn’t have an online service at the time, but agreed to do that for me. So you see how much work it was and then how much I love them! I must be crazy :) Thank you again for your kind words and I hope you have a great weekend!

    • Thank you sooo very much for this lovely comment! It’s true that most of the time I am smiling, or trying to, so people tend to say I’m fun – but actually I think I am average – and average is not a flaw :) I think you are the unique one here, such a sweet comment! Thank you again so much for it!

  6. Hi Denise, thank you so much for your lovely comment! I am happy to hear that you were inspired to try something similar – that’s what it’s all about for me, inspiring and being inspired by others :) Speaking of which…you have a knack for lovely layering! Hoping you can share your layered lace on a post!

    House of Illusions

    • Hi, Agnes, thank you so very much for your comment! I always get inspired when I see your posts! I love them! And you are so right – I love layers! And guess what – my latest photos (on Sunday) showed layers again :) Hope you have a very beautiful (and inspired!) week!

    • Hello dear, soooo nice to read your comment now! I noticed you were a bit away and as for me, for the time being I decided to have a monthly recap – maybe I go back to one post a week, but now my next will be on the 29th :) Thank you for the compliment, I do love Indian skirts in general :) Hope you are fine and that you have a beautiful week!

    • Thank you so much for your sweet words towards me, dear Diana! Well, it’s very seldom that I take pictures without smiling, don’t know why! But it seems it’s right, because you like it! Hope you have a great week – and yes, as I always say, with many smiles!

  7. Hi Lovely!
I am so sorry I have not visited for ages! I follow in Bloglovin but for some weird reason I miss your feeds!
Lovely post- you are wearing lots of beautiful items- I love that Indian skirt on you and the red shoes are super pretty!!!
How is life? Are you still in Dublin? I’m well, but just very disorganised and all over the place! x

    • Hi, dear Kezzie! I thought so much of you, I even thought you would be kid of offended because I am not visiting blogs very much lately, cause I decided to take some time out of the web – I mean, I didn’t abandon the blog, I am posting once a month, but I am having more time out of internet, which I think is good (for me). And I looove your blog, and even much more especially because we got to meet each other, so I feel somehow guilty! I have to fix it! I am spending some months in Brazil as part of my seek for permanent winter (no joke, the south is cold, like Argentina and Chile) and will go back to England next week :) Then Dublin again. That Indian skirt is one of my favorite items, I wore it again yesterday :) Such a coincidence, on Wednesday I saw you card (the birthday one!) and thought “when is her b-day? I want to send a card too!” Yours will be framed as a picture, I will put it in one bedroom now walk-in wardrobe :) It’s such a lovely card! Thank you for that and also for this sweet comment! You are really always great! Made y day!

  8. Omg Denise you really got your DNA tested. That’s so cool. I wouldn’t dare to do it. I don’t want any bad news about me lol. You looks are marvelous and I love the cute earrings you got. I visited your new site too. It’s really amazing. Have a happy Friday Hübsche 😀

    • Thank you sooo much for your sweet comment! The new site is really giving me much joy, and I think for the time being I found a balance between my site and the other. Hahaha, I am sure you wouldn’t find anything bad about your DNA! It’s only to show where your ancestors have gone through the years. It’s really cool, I recommend it, really. My brothers and I had fun! And it confirmed what we already knew AND put down some other things, which was very cool too! Thank you again for your lovely comment, I hope you have a very beautiful weekend!

      • You’re welcome Denise. Well I know some of my ancestors and believe me I don’t want to know more about them hahaha!! Glad you and your bros had a lot of fun. Since you haven’t posted anything new yet I’ll head to your new site.

    • Thank you so much for the sweet comment! This time not to places I don’t know… kind of usual – England, Ireland, Holland and I really hope I go to Wales as well. But new cities for sure. New “undiscovered countries” to me just next year :) I usually do so from January till April :) I am so excited! Hope you have a beautiful weekend!

    • Hi, dear! Thank you so much for the comment! It was a busy month, but guess what, September is even more – and it’s OK, cause at the end I’ll have a great time! Hope you have a beautiful and pleasant week!

    • Hi, Tina, thank you so much for your lovely comment! I am sure your next trip will be amazing – when we are excited about something, it’s so good! My new adventure starts on Thursday, so I’m really getting my adrenaline high :) Hope you are fine and having a nice week!

    • Hello, and thank you so much for your lovely comment! I am right now having an adventure! Stuck in Amsterdam because of a massive flight delay of 4 hours :) But I hope at the end all is fine :) Must remain positive – well, I said I like adventures, so I have to cope with! As soon as I can, I will visit you again! Thank you once more for the nice comment!

  9. Thank you for all the kindest words in one of my post. Always appreciated sweet words when someone is feeling down or undergoing something personal especially from someone I have never met personally but through blogosphere. Glad we are FB friends so we stay in touch. Anyway, sounds like another super fun adventure and I know that you will have a great time. Can’t wait to hear all about it when you come back from another fabulous trip to Ireland and beyond, :).

    • Thank you so much for your kind words, dear Sam, so sweet! I am also very glad that we are connected on facebook, so I can always see you amazing outfits and the things you do, that are so nice, especially with your lovely son (he is soooo cute, but of course everybody tells you that!) We are all spirits, souls and knowing someone in person or not, for me doesn’t change much when I “know” the person in some way – I was really honest, wishing you all the best possible things, really! I think energies are very important, so I also ask people I like to send me good vibes! Hope my good wishes reach you and that you are fine and having a beautiful weekend! I arrived in the UK again and I’m getting some sleep, it was a 24 hour-trip… but I’m strong :) XXX

    • Wow, thank you so much for your lovely comment and compliment! I am glad you liked the blog! It came down to one post a month, but it’s running OK this way… :) I hope you have a great Sunday and soon I’ll visit your blog! XXX

    • Oh my word, such a lovely comment, thank you sooo very much! You are so kind! I love shoes, but well, who doesn’t! I have around 452 pairs of shoes, but I will donate some now, cause on Christmas we also have to think of other people, for sure! Some that will be happy to have people thinking of them! XX
