Resolutions… wisdom?

Due to Christmas and lack of energy (read “anemia”, lack of vitamins – junk food lover), last week I couldn’t read the blogs I love (feeling bad about it!) I was preparing a post about “beauty routine” – a friend suggested – and didn’t finish it either…

Instead of that, and because I lost track of shoe shopping habits, I had some ideas for 2014. I NEVER make new year’s resolutions, but I think that sometimes they can be very useful. If we follow them along the year… :)

Well, no, I’m far from perfect. I need to eat healthy food – medical advice. I need to exercise. I suppose I have 4 or 5 basic things I’d like to change.

That’s so “me”! Always saying there’s no good or bad, just different. Very nice to find exactly what I always say through Calvin and Hobbes.

I think “don’t be afraid of making mistakes” – we all do and we learn that way. Live the life you want to. Risk, fall, win, laugh after all… the secret is to balance things. I suppose…

I hope you all have a great week full of smiles and great things!

I’ll be in London today. But I promise that from Tuesday on I’ll visit again the blogs I love!

Thanks  for visiting and for the sweet comments! They mean a lot to me!

  1. I agree. Each person must live and have their own experiences. Individual experiences are unique. We need that to overcome the ignorance about ourselves.

I hope I haven’t criticized you that much :) It is/was a result of my own ignorance.

We care about those we love. We should avoid restricting them too much though. :)

    Beijo do mano!

  2. Sorry that I didn’t come here sooner, but I didn’t have time for myself the past days. You know why. I was happy to read one of your emails again, and of course your post too. It would be nice to have some resolutions for 2014. I did have some for 2013, and I’m glad I managed to scratch off many of them :) I wish the same for you too!

  3. Hi sweety, sorry to hear about the migraine, I get them a lot and I know how disabling they can be. Hope you’re feeling better now. All the things you mentioned you need to change, I really do too. exercise and better health and eating is always important. I think if we support each other, we can do it! What do you think?

  4. Ow! I can feel you. I’m not a healthy eater either and I have a tendency for anemia :/ ! That’s no fun :/ ! And I don’t make new year’s resolutions, as I think when you really want something you can make that resolution *anytime*..
I do hope your health gets better!
I love Calvin and Hobbes :)

    Happy Holidays :) <3

  5. Thanks for your wonderful words sweety, We can totally support each other to be healthier next year, I think its a great idea. The best thing for migraines is to lie down in a dark room, curtains closed or with an eye shade, because light makes the headaches worse.

  6. hey, you. thank you for the beautiful comment. it definitely made my day :) and I feel the same way when it comes to meeting wonderful people via blogging. I really wish I could know all of them (including you, obviously) in real life. I really really do.
about resolutions. I’m not good at those, to be honest. I sometimes try to make them, for example one of my current goals is to finally complete the cleaning and assorting of my wardrobe. don’t know why it’s so hard but it is and I can’t help it. I still want to complete everything before the new year. and when the new year comes I want to open a little blog shop maybe, to sell some of my bags and shoes and maybe some other stuff, too. but anyway, I hope your energy is coming back and you’re eating lots of fruits and vegetables to get some additional energy and vitamins. take care and enjoy the holidays, dear Denise :)

  7. We all need to be inspired at this time, the new year is the perfect time to do this. My new years resolution would be to break my bad habit of procrastination ahaha. Big thanks for the lovely comment you made my day. Enjoy your weekend hun :)

  8. Hi sweets! Was so good to hear from you the other day. Hope you are doing well. You are totally right. I have been so busy catching up from my vacation and now the holidays I have not had a chance to update my blog. The past two times I tried to take pictures it snowed like crazy. Gonna try again tomorrow because it’s suppose to be 70 degrees here! What a nice change! I know what you mean about eating healthier and exercising more. Those are always on my New Year resolutions. Hopefully this year I’ll be able to stick to it longer than a week hehe. Enjoy the holidays and I’ll talk to you soon! xoxo

  10. As a Nutritionist I know the importance of a good diet and exercise, but I also know that sometimes life can just get in the way prevent you from doing what you intend to do, especially at this time of year. I hope 2014 is a healthy year for you and it will be a shame that you are unable to post more photos. It can be difficult to get people to take photos of you, but good blogs aren’t all about photos and selfies fortunately.

I hope you have a lovely Christmas and enjoyed your time in London. Take every day as it comes and enjoy it without too much pressure.
