Happiness Everyday – some steps to be happier and positive! It can be simple!

Good day

Friday Feelings
1. Smile.
2. Take the time to rest.
3. Surround yourself with positive people in person or online.
4. Do something you’ve always enjoyed.
5. Do something you’ve never done before but have always wanted to try.
6. Learn new skills.
7. Smell something that makes you happy: vanilla, coffee, perfume…
8. Reward yourself for your good habits and accomplishments.
9. Be kind, help people regularly.
10. Spend time with a good friend.
11. Watch a comedy or anything that makes you laugh.
12. Take a small step towards your goal.
13. Listen to your favorite singer.
14. Tell someone you love them.
15. Read a book you love.
16. Spend time with inspiring people or read about someone who inspires you.
17. Clear out your junk, literally.
18. Give someone an unexpected gift.
19. Watch the sunset.
20. Eat something you love – chocolate, a slice of cake, ice cream…
21. Devote a day to family.
22. Pick up the phone and call someone you haven’t spoken to for a while.
23. Do something you loved as a kid that you haven’t done for years.
24. Forgive someone, especially yourself.
25. Have a meal somewhere different: try a picnic.

26. Do something you’ve been putting off.
27. Seek out supportive and like-minded people.
28. Visualize and dream big.
29. Be grateful for life.
30. Persevere: pick up something you gave up on.
31. Start a new habit, a good one.
32. Write a mantra and follow it.
33. Notice what makes you happy and use it in sad times.
34. Teach someone something you know well.
35. Choose to be happy – every day!

  2. Superb advice and suggestions, dear Denise. I’ve always been a firm believe that each of us creates our own happiness. Of course, many things can influence how we feel and where our level of joy is at, but if we wake up and consciously chose to be happy, to see the glass as being half full, and to believe that good things will happen, it can – and will – make a genuine world of difference to one’s state of mind, health, relationships with others, views on the future, and so much more. I’ve personally being approaching life this way since I was a little girl (growing up in a wildly dysfunctional, abusive, often terrifying household) and it has helped me more than I could ever put into words (especially when it comes to life as a multiple chronic illness fighter). It’s fantastic that you champion creating one’s own bliss in general and sense of daily happiness alike, too.

  4. what I love about your advice on happiness how it is focuses not only on connecting and reconnecting with ourselves but also with others…it is often true that when we help others, we end up feeling better about ourselves too! So, why not give someone an unexpected present? why not set aside a day to spend with our family! Great ideas dear Denise…you have truly inspired me!

  8. This is such an awesome post. I totally agree it is important to make yourself happy everyday! It is important to be around positive people that are going to bring you up instead of down. Also, it is important to do things that make us happy :)
