A wisdom trip

Because I thought I didn’t have “enough” news, for a while I decided to write every other week. I guess I can change it little by little, to come to my usual weekly post.

This post still shows my trip to South America. The beaches! I love the sea!

Bag, Gamine. I love it!

I love beaches in the winter! I had similar boots when I was 18 :), so I really love these ones, for what they remind me. But I can't remember where I bought them

Happiness is inside you, not out of your soul. Whatever you look for, it’s inside you. Once Tina Turner stated: “when I was younger, having a certain dress or a car would make me happy. I don’t think this way now”. I’m changing my mind throughout the last 2 years, getting to see life like she stated. It leads to a happier life, in my opinion.

End of my 5 month-trip, now back to the UK. One of my paintings, that I want to change the frame. I painted it when I was 14. It brings me loads of memories.

So now I thank all the amazing comments I had on my last post, they really meant a lot to me!  I apologize for not being very regular, on a weekly basis, but be very sure I’ll visit your blogs always with a lot of interest! (I love reading!)

I wish everybody a great week with many smiles!

  1. Hi Denise, I had no idea that you were this brilliant of an artist until now, that painting is so creative, this is the route you need to go into. You are so great at it! Love all the thoughtful details in this beautiful outfit, the bag is very unique and I adore the stunning indian inspired skirt. So happy you’re back to blogging!

  2. Hi Lovely!!! I am so sorry, I have been terrible in leaving you a comment and replying back! For some reason, when I click on your name link, it takes me to Google plus which I can’t work out how to get to your blog from. I thought I was following you in Bloglovin but it doesn’t seem to show up so I will click again!
I also can’t see any of your images for some weird reason! I am so glad you are back to the UK! I do hope that sorting your parents affairs with siblings was ok.

    Take care xx

  3. Oh my goodness, your boots are amazing!

I agree with the happiness statement. Like, lots of people think that I must be unhappy because I don’t really ‘do’ much. But I’ve actually never been so happy lol. I have 2 gorgeous kids, a wonderful fiance, we’ve just bought our very first house and I just love looking after them all. My heart swells with pride every day.

I hope you’ll be happy back in the UK :)

  7. So sorry I didn’t come earlier here! I was really busy the past few days!
You look amazing as always in these photos! I love seeing your big smile. You really love going to the beach, it’s obvious. You always seem to have a great time there.
And your painting is fantastic! I told you that you’re really talented. And you painted it when you were only 14? wow! I can imagine how much you must have evolved till now…
I missed you so much! But I understand if you can’t post as often as the old days, don’t worry!
Have a fantastic rest of the week, and we’ll talk soon…promise!

  8. Thank you Denise for your kind words! I really appreciate them! I’m happy you like my style of writing. It’s something I really love. Thank you for sharing your experiences with me, I cherish your words. I really do miss my father every day, and of course you’re right, he’s always with me, but I like to go to from time to time to the cemetery to visit the place where he’s resting now. It’s funny how there’s still so many things that remind me of him, even some of the new things I experience and see. In that way, I sometimes really feel that there’s a part of him in me. You should be proud of yourself, two years is a long time to keep strong! I haven’t reached even one year yet…

I'm looking forward to following your posts on Bloglovin' and learning more about you! ^_^ I think that handbag is so adorable and unique, by the way! Zippers, florals and retro prints! So awesome 😀 Gorgeous details on the skirt, also!

  10. Hey Denise, I finally got around to reading the comments you left on my blog, and i must say that you’re really kind, especially about the headphones thing. Haha.
Anyway, you’re really lucky you got to go on such a long trip! Must be nice to relax and just get away from the busy life. Somehow your blog post reminds me a little of America’s Next Top Model haha. Must be because of the quotes and stuff :p I would love to go to UK some day. It seems like a really really cool country :)

  11. dear denise, i’ve never seen the beach in winter. i adore your boots too. they look fabulous with the skirt and necklace. your jeweled flats are very pretty. i like the hints of floral on your purse as well. great ralph waldo emerson quote! spectacular painting. you are very talented. i want to see more. remember i’m greedy like that. :)

  12. Your outfit looks darling when you pair it with the boots. It’s got this bohemian feel with a touch of rustic to it. I’ve never worn boots to the beach, probably because we don’t have winter where we are, but it looks very comfortable.

Very spot-on comments about happiness there, too, Denise. Here’s hoping that everyone who reads it conducts their live in the same way. Have a great Sunday. (By the way, I’ve replied to your email using your current address.)

  13. Hi Denise :) heute schreib ich mal auf deutsch :) du siehst wie immer toll aus und mir gefällt besonders das Bild, dass du mit 14 gemalt hast <3 das strahlt etwas beruhigendes aus… Miss you very much my dear!!!!! Kisses, Hati
